"PATIENT PERSISTENCE" Oil Painting

What an intimate journey this painting has been for me over the past year. I had an idea in my mind and heart of creating a very large, heavily textured oil painting - full of vibrancy and peace.

From the start of the painting, I could see in my minds eye exactly the effect I wished to render - over the space of many months, it morphed into what you see today. It took many many …. MANY hours to bring her to a place where I feel the desired effect has been achieved.

For me, truly, it feels like my art is not the end game - it is a path to somewhere bigger than me. For you, the viewer - it is my sincere intention to create something which immediately offers you respite from concrete and stress, transporting you into a peaceful place and surrounding you with that calm feeling you get when you commune with nature. A piece of nature in your home or office. I am a person who needs to feel the earth beneath my feet on a daily basis. We are organic - no different from the plants or animals we share this Planet with. We need nature in order to be well.

For me - my art is a conduit to helping animals - moving forward on my path, I will be collaborating with deserving animal rescue organisations so that every collector of my creations knows that they too are helping another sentient being via the purchase and support of my art.
